I agree with everything you said!!! I love white, and black (the NYer that I am, lol), and staying with classics. Even my underwear is that style!!! My problem is I love cotton and linen so summertime is a lot of work to stay with the look! I've not heard this from anyone else before but I do put scarves with my pocketbooks, esp. the one I use a lot and guess what color - black (the bag)!!! Needless to say, I just subscribed, having come across your channel just now. I'm looking forward to more videos. Thanks so much.

As I don’t wear rings or bracelets by (work) day, a smaller scale statement necklace can make a look. A lot of the time, it’s the statement earrings, necklace and bracelets that cause overwhelm. Wear three beaded bracelets, not six. And don’t wear all the semi precious stones at once. Pick two. Earrings + necklace, earrings + bracelets, bracelets + necklace. My mom loved big rings. I inherited them. And they’ll go to my nieces as memorabilia. None of us do big rings. My hands are too small for such items.

I just bought some white pants for the summer (i'm a little bottom heavier than on top) so now I'm trying to think how to bring something white or shiney up around my neck or head. I used to keep my clothes seasonally (cold weather in trunk while warm out in drawers or hung up, and vice versa, but as I marched toward menopause, I needed to keep more warm weather clothing and fewer cold weather items. So I utilized the Marie Kondo method and keep them all out all the time-organized by color first, then lightest (summery) to heaviest (wintery). The clothes in my chest of drawers are all folded her way as well, so I can see everything I have at a glance without disturbing any clothes in that drawer. I absolutely love my clothes being organized this way. Thank you for being so transparent with your clothing storage! Seeing yours made me realize how much I really need to update my undergarments…Oh also, I have the same chest of drawers from IKEA and love them!

Frederique, what are your thoughts about tailored (non-denim) 4-inch (10 cm) shorts? I am in my mid-40s, 5'7 with long legs and a rectangular, athletic shape. Do you think I can still get away with that or do I need to go with 6 or 7 inch inseam going forward?

When I wear H Q D U P S fakes or replicas, I just wear them with pride, knowing I didn’t spend unnecessary cash and I can look good while being able to proudly feed my family. As for the designer brand owners, they have enough. There’s no need to support them.

Great advice and love your channel and personality. With white pants though, I can't stop wearing them even though I am pear shaped. I just wear a white top and keep the whole look monochrome. Where there's a will, there's a way!

The photos don’t show apple shaped bodies, they show well proportioned bodies that are just large. There are no hints for the apple with thin arms and legs, with a round torso, so common in mature (menopausal) women. It’s the ‘out of proportion’ apple that’s so challenging to dress. Thank you.

Ugh... menopause. Even with hormone replacement therapy, the sedentary job I have makes it very difficult to lose weight.

The older I get, the more I understand why my grandma embraced Jackie Kennedy style suits. I’m working on transitioning that way myself, but with different color combinations than she had. I have to make it myself because I’m an ice hockey goalie and ready made only fits around my muscles if it’s baggy. And I realized years ago that skirts are cooler in the heat than shorts (because you don’t have layers of fabric between your thighs; there’s more airflow with a skirt). . . My Cherokee great aunt could pull off neon purple even in her 70s. Aunt Sybil had a flashy personality to match. She was a model when she was younger and still had that confidence.

I suffered the loss of 6 close loved ones during the pandemic and I was going through menopause at the same time. Between grief, isolation, depression and sleep trouble due to menopause, I gained 30 pounds! 😔I put my favorite sexy jeans in a box in my storage room. I tried, but I couldn't lost the weight. Last year I got on hormone replacement therapy and a few months ago I added low dose testosterone to the HRT. That combined with a healthy diet and exercise did the trick. This week I finally hit my pre-Covid weight. I took my sexy jeans out of the box and tried them on. They look fabulous. I'm so glad I kept them!
